What will you do as our Retention Marketeer?

Working with a team of wonderful marketeers, you’ll be the go to person for anything retention related! Using your marketing knowledge, commercial experience and analytical skills, you’ll ensure that the execution of retention strategies results in increased customer loyalty, and a reduction in churn. Your typical tasks will include (but not be limited to):


  • Developing and executing automated lifecycle marketing journeys and one off campaigns to engage and retain subscribers with a strong focus on onsite, notifications, in-app and email marketing.

  • Analyse customer data to identify trends, behaviours, and opportunities for retention improvement.

  • Implement lifecycle marketing programs to engage customers at different stages of their journey with the company.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to align retention strategies with overall business goals.

  • Define and track KPIs related to customer retention, including regular reporting on the effectiveness of retention efforts.

Job requirements

Who are you?

You’re passionate about making the world of education a better place for children, and you know your way around marketing, particularly focusing on retention and loyalty. We also consider the following points to be important:

  • At least 4years in a similar marketing postion, focusing on retention.

  • You have worked with, and are familiar with Customer IO

  • A willingness to understand the commercial aspet of the position when it comes to upselling/cross-selling and retention.

  • You have knowledge of marketing automation and customer journey mapping.

  • You have analytical skills, and are competent when using Excel.

  • You enjoy working independently, as well as collaborating with multi-functional teams

  • You are a fluent/native Dutch Speaker both written and verbal
