Our brands, including Squla and StudyGo, help children and teenagers aged 3 to 18 learn and grow at their own level and pace. Our mission is clear: "Empowering every child to grow." At Squla, children up to grade 8 practise all school subjects through fun quizzes and games. Everything has been developed by education experts and fits the Dutch education system.

StudyGo is the platform for secondary school students to prepare for tests. From learning words to tutoring and tutoring: StudyGo offers a comprehensive toolkit to help students succeed. With 650,000+ users per year, we are a fixture in secondary education.

What are you going to do? 

You’ll be part of the Finance team supporting multiple legal entities. This is a hands-on role where you’ll run day-to-day accounting tasks, support month-end close, and help turn numbers into insight for managers and investors -  with clear growth routes into Medior and Senior Controller roles.

What you’ll do - day to day

• Execute monthly close activities and prepare journal entries and reconciliations. 

• Produce and contribute to management reports (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow) and variance analyses

• Support annual tax filings and collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits.

• Work with ERP/accounting systems (Exact Online) and improve finance processes and controls

• Partner with internal stakeholders to explain variances and help drive actionable improvements.

Who are you?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, structured, proactive team player. Ideally, you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or related

• 0–2 years’ finance / accounting experience

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)

• Ideally experience with an accounting system (Exact Online)

• Basic knowledge of common accounting standards (IFRS)

• Accuracy, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

• Excellent communication skills (proficient in English, Dutch is nice to have)

• Availability for 40 hours
