At Futurewhiz, we create digital learning products that help children unlock their full potential. To keep our mission running smoothly, we’re looking for a hands-on Junior Financial Controller to strengthen our Finance team.

What are you going to do? 

You’ll be part of the Finance team supporting multiple legal entities. This is a hands-on role where you’ll run day-to-day accounting tasks, support month-end close, and help turn numbers into insight for managers and investors -  with clear growth routes into Medior and Senior Controller roles.

What you’ll do - day to day

  • Execute monthly close activities and prepare journal entries and reconciliations. 

  • Produce and contribute to management reports (P&L, balance sheet and cashflow) and variance analyses

  • Support annual tax filings and collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits.

  • Work with ERP/accounting systems (Exact Online) and improve finance processes and controls

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to explain variances and help drive actionable improvements.

Job requirements

Who are you?

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, structured, proactive team player. Ideally, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or related

  • 0–2 years’ finance / accounting experience

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)

  • Ideally experience with an accounting system (Exact Online)

  • Basic knowledge of common accounting standards (IFRS)

  • Accuracy, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • Excellent communication skills (proficient in English, Dutch is nice to have)

  • Availability for 40 hours
