We at Futurewhiz have a mission to empower children to grow through personalized education. We focus on the growth of children in education with our EdTech platforms: Squla, WRTS and Scoyo.

WRTS is a platform that helps kids in secondary education prepare for their school tests. With 400.000 monthly users, WRTS has been the go-to platform to learn languages for over 15 years. We are now making the first steps in expanding our proposition to help kids prepare for tests for any subject, by providing exercises, (video) explanation and on-demand tutoring. What will you do as a UX Designer?

As a UX Designer, your goal is to make our digital learning offering completely frictionless. You will be responsible for the user experience of our web platform, app and internal tools.

Your key responsibilities will be the following:

• Make design solutions for our educational platform, as well as for our internal tools. This involves small product improvements and feature requests as well as long-term vision forming and concepting.
• Collect and analyze UX relevant metrics and data. Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by interpreting analytics data.
• Conduct user research and validate design concepts.
• Define the information architecture, creating cross-device wireframes and clickable prototypes.
• Work closely with developers, the Product Owner, the Data Science team, Marketing team, and Content team in an agile environment to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience from concept to release.

We are on the lookout for a real UX talent, who has the magical ability to turn complex requirements into frictionless experiences. You have an affinity with education technology and designing for kids, and you enjoy working in a dynamic and flexible environment. You have a critical but open-minded attitude, and your communication is precise and effective.

In addition to this, you meet the following requirements:

• Master’s degree in Communication, Media Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design or related studies;
• 3+ years experience in UX design/interaction design;
• Wizard-like skills to simplify apparent complexity;
• A keen eye for the fun in functionality;
• Experience interacting, validating and testing with end-users;
• Experience with designing based on quantitative data (Analytics & A/B-testing);
• Experience using tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Illustrator, Jira;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;
• Experience with educational technology and designing for kids is a plus;
• Experience with visual design is a plus.
