Job description

As the Senior UX Designer at Squla your goal is to make our digital learning offering completely frictionless. You will work in a team with 2 UX designers, 2 Visual designers and a UX Researcher and will work on the user experience of our kids platform, as well as our parents, teachers and internal tools.

Think about working on:

• Fun quiz formats for kids

• Motivational features to enrich the learning experience

• Adaptive quiz formats to offer the ideal challenge

• Insights for kids, parents and teachers to keep track of learning progress

Your key responsibilities will be the following:

• Come up with design solutions and improve the overall UX of our product.

• Define the information architecture, creating cross-device wireframes and clickable prototypes.

• Conduct user research and validate design concepts.

• Analyze UX relevant metrics and data as input for your design process.

• Work closely with developers, Product Owners, the Data Science and Content team in an agile environment to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience from concepting to release.

We are on the lookout for a real UX talent, who wants to make kids happy. You are enthusiastic about education technology and designing for kids, and you enjoy working in a dynamic and flexible environment. You have a critical but open minded attitude, and your communication is precise and effective.

In addition to this, you meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Communication, Media design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design or related studies;

• 3+ years experience in UX design/interaction design;

• A keen eye for the fun in functionality;

• Experience interacting, validating and testing with end-users;

• Experience using tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision and ProtoPie;

• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written;

• Experience with design based on quantitative data is a plus;

• Experience with educational technology and designing for kids is a plus;

• Experience with games and game design is a plus;
