Senior Digital Growth Marketeer

What are you going to do?

Your main goal is to optimize current channel performance and drive innovation by launching new channels alongside the customer journey. You get the freedom to experiment with acquisition campaigns and are able to define the best performing CAC funnel.

Within a country team of 5 people, you plan and implement online marketing growth strategies with a focus on Paid Search and Social, where you own all campaigns and the subsequent performance metrics, including for example CPA, ROI and CPC. You also work closely with the local team and colleagues at the head office in the Netherlands. You report to the Country Manager Germany. Your role also includes:

  • Translate business growth goals (channel goals) into action plan and execute strategic tests to continuously improve channel performance

  • Manage the day-to-day analysis and execution of all online marketing campaigns, including tracking, analyzing, optimizing and reporting campaign performance results

  • Monitor, analyze and implement all performance marketing channels (e.g. SEA, Affiliate or Paid Social), while efficiently managing budgets.

  • Observe and analyze the local customer, competitors and industry trends to build our long-term online marketing strategy

  • Develop innovative marketing approaches, provide a "test and learn" approach where possible, support the development of test hypotheses, follow up on test implementation and its results.

  • Maintain reporting on campaign performance, highlighting successes, failures, trends and opportunities.

  • Identify opportunities to grow, drive channel efficiency and innovate the performance marketing mix

  • Build and develop a small Performance Marketing team

  • Being a sparring partner for the Product team to optimize our product experience.

Who are you?

You are the guru when it comes to Digital and Online Marketing, having worked in a business environment built on subscription based models.  You're eager to jump in and analyse the big picture, in oder to gain detailed customer insights, enabling us to grow.


What we expect from you
  • You are an analytical leader with strong business sense and 5+ years of relevant experience within digital marketing;

  • You have an understanding of the core concepts of subscription-based business models;

  • You have a solid understanding of how to leverage customer insights as a springboard of marketing initiatives and actions to unlock growth;

  • You are capable of understanding the bigger picture while simultaneously being ready to dive deep into the details if required;

  • You have experience in applying analytical approaches on commercial problem statements and can define & advocate thorough solution proposals with analytical rigour while ensuring commercial relevance. Experience in defining measurement frameworks is a plus;

  • You embrace change and are comfortable in reacting to newly arising needs at a fast pace;

  • Your oral and written German and English are business fluent and you are capable of convincing analytical and commercial audiences alike via concise communication;

  • You have an excellent understanding of the latest online marketing trends, metrics, tools and best practices;

  • You have great attention to details and strong working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tableau, with the ability to analyse data from multiple sources;

  • Scrappy, can-do attitude, with a learning mindset: You whole-heartedly embrace the ‘fail fast, fail forward’ mindset, learn fast, and relentlessly iterate as you go;

  • You don’t shy away from a challenge and are able to perform in a fast-paced and continuously changing work environment;

  • If you worked in the Edutech industry before - this is a big plus but not necessary.
