We are looking for someone that can help us build a great e-learning platform! Are you an experienced Frontend Developer who, besides being an amazing programmer, also has a feeling for the e-learning market? And do you want to help children and students to give them the tools they need to study fast and efficient? Then we are looking for you!
FULL-TIME · AMSTERDAM
“Every child wants to pass and succeed. We help you in this, online in every possible way.”
For years, WRTS has been the largest and best-known e-learning program in the Netherlands! Our tool is used to learn words so you can easily master a new language. With 400,000 users per month, we have already been making sure everyone can learn words quickly and easily for 15 years. Our users are mainly in middle/high schools (from 12 to 15 years).
Now we’re ready for the next step to build new platforms to help children when they are doing their homework or preparing for a test. And you can be part of this new adventure!
We have a friendly team of 8 people who are all helping to improve the platform for our users. We are constantly in touch with our target group to see how we can get a little bit better every day. There is plenty of room for (creative) input and we are therefore looking for someone who is enthusiastic about our product and our next steps. We want to improve education and believe that the use of digital learning tools will increase more and more in the near future.
It is up to us as a team to let users learn as quickly and effectively as possible!
In this role you will get the opportunity to work within a team of 3 (aiming to extend to 8) skilled Full Stack Developers who are building the WRTS platform. The expertise lies mostly on the backend-side, so you get to be the first in-house Frontend expert to influence the platform and educate your team members!
For the near future we have already created a cool roadmap for the multiple new platforms we will create as part of WRTS. You will work in a small team of developers (2-3 developers per project), working closely with Product Owners, using agile scrum methodology with 2-week sprints. You will be the one building cool end-to-end features and contributing to growing the WRTS platform. You are fully responsible for testing features and troubleshooting issues when they go live. You will also take part in stand-ups and UX/UI meetings.
The Futurewhiz office is located in a beautiful office on Weesperplein in the centre of Amsterdam. We work hard, play hard and we have a lot of fun and foster an informal yet professional atmosphere. Fresh fruit, warm lunch, monthly drinks and company events are part of our culture. We love self-development, and that is why you will be given annual learning budget.
The WRTS crew is a dynamic team that is enthusiastic about creating the most effective and efficient new way of learning in this ever-evolving digital age. We believe that a positive and energetic, yet relaxed, work environment not only encourages great teamwork, but is key to motivating our team to produce high quality products. We provide our team members with the resources they need to make sure they can do their jobs properly and get the results we aim for. Although our team is diverse and everyone brings their own interests and uniqueness to the table, every single person is excited about the great work WRTS is doing. Oh yeah, and we do have a pingpong table. ;)
