Country lead for Squla Poland (M/F)

Job description

Squla is the online learning platform for children in primary school. The platform provides a highly engaging learning environment where play meets curiosity. Following its launch in 2010, Squla achieved market leadership in the Netherlands and is now being actively used by more than 500,000 Dutch children. In 2016, the platform launched in Poland and got its initial user base. As we see unit economics moving into the right direction -in a favourable changing and developing market- we are looking for a strong growth hacker to sharpen Squla’s value proposition and reestablish product/market fit. The goal is to reach certain milestones on LTV (lifetime value) and CPA (cost per acquisition) by the end of 2020 in order to start scaling. Scaling will include building a team and scaling up marketing spend.


In this exciting role, you will be at the heart of Squla Poland’s second episode. The first episode brought us a healthy user base, initial classroom adoption, reasonable level of brand awareness, and lots of learnings across product and marketing over the past few years. The next episode will focus on running a wide range of experiments across the full value proposition to get the model right, before we start scaling.


Your role:

  • you will be responsible for all activities in Poland and determine where you want to focus resources
  • you will report to the CEO and work directly with him to achieve set milestones
  • you will communicate and maintain trusted relationships within and outside the company
  • you are based in Warsaw but will visit the Amsterdam office regularly to become part of the team and build Squla DNA

Job requirements

You ideally:

  • have a strong track record in growing consumer services from early stage to growth stage, including market research, media channel testing, and funnel optimisation
  • grew up in Poland, speak the language, and have a solid understanding of how the school system sits within society
  • are online savvy
  • possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to help you to move forward
  • are a self-starter, independent, highly driven, and agile
  • have strong communication and interpersonal skills able to work together with experienced managers, partners, and experts and to quickly build relationships

  • have been part of a tech venture before
  • can work with Wordpress, Visual Website Optimiser, Amplitude, Marketing Automation systems like and Google Analytics
