Are you looking for a role in development where you can have a direct, positive impact on the future that is children? Are you an experienced developer, with an affinity for ed-tech platforms? Sounds like this role could be for you!
We're looking for someone who can help us further develop our APIs, using their existing database knowledge to make our applications even better. You will be building cool new features for children, parents or teachers, and of course, bringing fresh ideas on how to automate things even more. Ok, we also need you to do some code reviews, fix Jenkins builds if broken, monitor our applications, brainstorm on new features, debug in our microservice jungle and, if you are willing to, teach us some new table tennis skills.
You are passionate about making the education world a better place for children, and know your way around the development space, bringing experience, and fresh knowledge to the table.
Apply common design patterns, write clean and maintainable code
Computer science fundamentals, experience with relational databases, automated tests
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Be nice to your colleagues
And if you are familiar with Python, AWS, HTML5 games and/ or Ruby (on Rails) and GCP. Or working Agile, that’s even better (but not required)
Macbook Pro as a work laptop
A desk in our Amsterdam office
Personal learning budget
Informal yet professional atmosphere
A diverse and international team
Daily fresh fruit, lunch and snacks, as well as monthly drinks and company events
Squla account free for life
