Squla is a Dutch company building an online platform for educational games, where hundreds of thousands of children, parents and teachers interact. Now we are looking for a Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality of our products through exploratory testing. Are you excited to be a part of the quality software test engineering adventure? QA Tester responsibilities include analysis of requirements, writing and executing test cases to ensure the quality of web and mobile applications. The QA Tester role plays a crucial part in our company’s product development process. You will be working closely with the Senior QA Engineer, Product Owners and Developers, and therefore you will be involved in the early stages of feature development. You provide valuable inputs on high level test scenarios, challenges and risks, and your insights help development to ease the acceptance testing. You will also contribute more valuable inputs based on the test findings and outcomes in order to enhance the automated acceptance tests.

This role is for a 3 month contract with a possibility to work 20-40h per week.

What you will do:

  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test scenarios

  • Prepare test data for test scenarios/cases

  • Ensure high quality features to go-live

  • Identify, reproduce and describe defects

  • Share knowledge and contribute to a culture of quality


What you will need to thrive in this position:

  • Work experience in software quality assurance

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

  • Hands-on experience with black box testing

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
